Privacy
What FundAlmanac keeps about you, and what it never does.
We collect free public data. We never collect, store or share yours.
What we never do
- No account. Nothing to sign up for, no login.
- No cookies, analytics, ads or outside scripts. Nothing on a page loads from another site.
- No AI on the public site. Answers are worked out in your browser from the site's own files.
- Nothing you type goes to an outside service. The one exception is our own question log, below.
- Nothing is shared or sold. Not to anyone.
The question log
- The Ask box works in your browser. Each question is then logged, so we can see what readers ask and build that.
- Scrubbed first. Digits, links and anything like an email address are removed.
- Nothing about you. No IP address, no name, no cookie, only the day, nothing that links two questions to one person.
- Never logged: a question that sets your name, or touches a saved view or your statement. It is answered on your device and stays there.
- Thumbs and feedback send only what you choose.
Your statement and portfolio
- Read in your browser. A statement is read under a policy that forbids every network request. It is never uploaded.
- Remembering a portfolio is your choice. It stays on this device, with an optional passcode.
- "Delete everything about me" clears it from the device.
- Export and import move it between your own devices. The file goes nowhere else.
The microphone
- Your choice. Before first use, a notice explains it and you decide.
- We collect no voice. Your browser's or phone's own speech service (such as Google or Apple) may, under its own policy.
Phone alerts
- One message to every phone after NAVs are out. It is the same for everyone.
- Each phone works out its own figures. Nothing about your portfolio leaves it.
The ideas box and "I'd use this"
- An idea keeps the words and the time. Email addresses and phone numbers are removed before saving.
- Each "I'd use this" tap is a count for that feature, with the time. Nothing about who tapped.
- Abuse limits. Sends from one internet address are counted for one minute. The address is not stored.
Hosting
- Cloudflare serves the site. It handles your IP address to deliver pages and stop attacks, under its own privacy policy.
- We do not keep visitor logs. Request logs are off.
Removal and changes
- We keep nothing that identifies you, so we cannot find anything by your name.
- To remove an idea or a question, write to contact@fundalmanac.com quoting its words, and we delete it.
- If this changes, this page says so first, with the date.
